Description

There is a growing movement in Oklahoma to connect rural producers with urban consumers.

This group will have regular announcements about locally grown, sustainably produced and/or processed, Oklahoma food. These are the "good eats", as my grandmother Opal Cassidy who was born in on a farm outside of Davidson in territorial days, used to say.

Oklahoma Food supplements the website http://www.oklahomafood.org , the Oklahoma Local Food Guide, and its companion printed publication, providing regular updates as our network grows.

This group is strictly focused on Oklahoma, anybody can subscribe or read the archives, but posts must be related to the group's local mission.

Feel free to post news of farms that are selling direct to the public, community supported agriculture operations, U Pick, natural beef, free range chickens, local milk, etc. Recipes are always in order.

Y'all bon apetit, you hear?

Robert Waldrop, Oklahoma Local Food cultivator
