Women and men who live in Ohio and are interested in the art of beading get together and talk online about beading techniques, bead shows and bead sales. Ohio Beaders offers a casual atmosphere where people share a sense of community with other Ohioans. Photographs of members' bead-work are also online to inspire creativity. While some of the Ohio Beaders are new to beading and others are accomplished artisans and instructors, all contribute resources and ideas to help and support each other.

Goals of the group include beadwork exchanges and challenges, bead swaps, meetings in different parts of Ohio, attending bead shows together and planning a bead retreat. Ohio bead shop owners are encouraged to join and share information about their store, products and classes.

If you are a beader, beginner to expert, live in Ohio or live in one of the states bordering Ohio (West Va., Pennsylvania, Indiana, Kentucky or Michigan only), and you share interest in the goals of the group, we hope you will consider joining Ohio Beaders. This photo was taken at one of the Ohio Beaders Gatherings where we meet in person to share our love of beading. We shop, do some beading, laugh and eat together about 4 times a year, usually in the Columbus or Cleveland area. We also get together once a year in the fall for a weekend retreat.
