Since the proclamation of the restoration the Taino Nation of the Antilles has
been organizing, educating, and advocating for all Taino people. This blog group
will be used to get the word out on our restoration efforts and create a better
sense of community among our Taino people. We'll include pictures of our work,
events, and communities.
The Taino Nation is not an organization, group or club, we are the restored
Nation of the Taino People. If you are of Taino ancestry and desire to reconnect
with your restored Nation, you must contact Cacike Cibanakan at 212-866-4573 to
request an application to enroll. You can also request an application writing to
the Council of Government of the Taino Nation at:

"It is up to us, Taino survivors -- whether full-blooded or not -- who, defying
extinction myths, regain the right to be, the right to exist, and the right to
write our own history, in defiance of what their experts, their scholars, their
anthropologists, and their historians had written about us." - excerpt from
Nuevo Amanecer Taino (published by Wanakan Inc.)
