This group isn't organized or maintained by the Oakland Police Department. It was set up by beat 10Y residents. It's meant to give North Oakland residents a friendly online place to discuss anything neighborhood-related, not just crime issues. But, this list has adopted the Oakland Police's beat 10Y as a convenient definition of our neighborhood boundaries, and also because the list will hopefully support the OPD's community policing efforts.
