I`m going to mount cook area for 2 weeks between christmas and new year. I'm
looking for a climbing partner. I've ropes, ice screws, ice tools, trad rack,
etc. I'm living in christchurch at the moment and I'll leave for mount cook on
20th December, if someone wants to climb with me let me know and we can plan
something.

my name is Dominikus, I'm a 30 year old guy from Germany, doing a postdoc in
Kyoto at the moment. I'll visit NZ over the Christmas holidays and I'd like to
spend some days (18-21/22) in the Mt Cook area, maybe even climb it if the
conditions are suitable (and if the time is not too short, I have to get these
damn maps, which is not so easy in Japan).

Myself and my partner have just joined the club. Sadly we have had some of our
climbing gear stolen this weekend in Panmure outside Extreme Edge Gym. If you
could spread the details of our equipment so if it does surface there might be a
chance of us getting it back.

I want to stay here until march 2010. I`m especially searching for a
climbingpartner for this time. I had been several times climbing, but mostly in
gyms with a level just between 15 and 20. I`m not very used to do
outdoorclimbing, but i`m very keen on and really want to. I`ve my own shoes and

Hello all,
I'm a British climber who will be visiting the Southern Alps from 24th October
to 16th November. I'm looking for climbing partners for big mixed/ice routes,
but any mileage in the mountains would be great (or cragging etc). Going to rent
a car and base myself around Wanaka or Mt. Cook, but flexible to travel wherever
conditions are good.
I'm 30 and been climbing for 12 years. Done many Grandes Courses in the Euro
Alps and several new routes in Scotland in Winter. Also done some new routing in
Alaska and some peaks in Peru. Looking to climb up to French Alpine ED2, UK rock
E2 (sorry not familiar with NZ grades!)

I had a trip planned 17-26 October on the Fox Neve but my climbing partner has
done is knee in.  Is anyone looking for a climb or two over this period and
looking for a partner or a group that can take another?  Happy to vary plans to
suit.  Had planned for ice climbs from Pioneer hut but very happy for options on
the eastern side or down Aspiring way (face or ridge climbs).

Can anyone give me a little info on the NW ridge of Aspiring?
Is the Bonar glacier hard/easy to navigate?
I understand the Ramp is the crux of the climb, is it easy to protect,climb or
avoid?
Anything else I should know?

Looking for (at least) one other for ski touring 5th-10th Sept. Heading down to
the Southern Alps this week but partner heading back first week in Sept and need
someone to take her place.

Very competent telemarker. Previous experience in Europe and NZ, inc traverse of
Southern Alps and other multi-day trips.

Heading out to New Zealand in december to do a TMC with alpine guides then 
intend on staying on and doing as much mountaineering as possible with who ever
i can. I am very fit and have plenty of rock climbing and bush walking

Looking for partner/s for the 2009-2010 Alpine season in NZ. NZ Alpine Grade
3-5. Interested in all mountains/routes, rock/ice and mixed, within this grade
bracket. From late Nov. onwards.

We are currently 3, but wish to be 4. Looking for a hardy team player to
complete a group of 4, for an August (18th - 30th) ski touring/mountaineering
trip travelling the 8 glaciers - Ice Lake --> Mawson --> Godley (Neish Plateau)
--> Dennistoun --> South Forbes (+/- D'Archiac) --> Separation --> Classen -->
Murchison --> Tasman. We may exit via Fox/Franz and the Fritz range if time and
weather permits. Advanced glacier travel, some climbing skills, and touring skis

I've just moved to Wellington after traveling and climbing all around New
Zealand all summer (having come from the UK before that).

I'm looking for partners for winter/alpine climbing on the North Island
volcanoes and around the Southern Alps.

I've climbed extensively  around the UK and Scotland, Norway and the European
Alps and interested in mountain routes of Grade 3 and higher and water-ice.

I've got all my own gear, a van and am not working at the moment so flexible and
able to make the most of mid-week weather windows.

Looking for partner(s) for 7-10 day period in mid to late March 2009
heading for Pioneer and/or Centennial Huts. Planning to climb peaks up
to grade 3+ including Haidinger, Minarets, Halcombe, Lendefeld and
maybe Tasman - depending on snow/weather conditions and expereince
levels.  Have all own gear & recent experience on Cook.

Ridge within the next 2 weeks (8-22Jan09) while the MB glacier is still
in condition. You will need to be comfortable on rock as well as having
had the equivalent experience of climbing several alpine routes in the
