You might have gotten this info from IMDB.  Here is what it says under Rusty's
filmography as an actor:

"Days of Our Lives" (1965) TV series .... Theo Carver (unknown episodes, 1985)
... aka Cruise of Deception: Days of Our Lives (USA: summer title)
... aka DOOL (USA: informal short title)
... aka Days (USA: short title)

What it's saying is that Days of Our Lives started in 1965 and Rusty played a
character called Theo Carver in 1985.  Since Rusty was born in 1960, he would
have been around 25 years old at the time he played this role.

Hope that clears things up.
