I like the new web page for the NUTS. This should work out good for
our group. If you know anyone who might be interested in joining
the NUTS invite them to sign up. Thanks to Teeje for getting this
set up.

Kokopeli, Where Am I, PhoneGuy and Cache_Us_If_You_Can are hosting a
cache event in Redding, complete with potluck BBQ (tri-tip provided),
games, raffle (to cover cost) and more! I'll post the waypoint and
more information as soon as we have final approval (it's pending
right now).
We want to wish Michelle (AKA Pebbles) of Rock & Crystal(& Pebble
too) a happy 8th birthday. Maybe you will get to go geocaching as a
special treat!

Anyone have any interesting of funny experiences while geocaching
that they would share with the rest of us? I remember a funny log
entry about Book'em Dano (Now archived) by Ed & Julie when Ed, a
Chico Police officer caught a young cacher looking for the cache,
located in front of the Chico Police Dept.. Ed was in his patrol
car and turned on the red lights and gave the cacher a good scare.
Maybe Ed will give us more details.
“Rowdy Nomads love Redding N.U.T.S.”
And Redding N.U.T.S. are event friendly. So come to a N.U.T. gathering in
Redding. We have a BBQ and a Caching game planed with prizes. there are
N.U.T.S. memorabilia for all who show up. Bring a new cacher, introduce them
to N.U.T.S.
“ Try it they we’ll like it. Mikey did.”

Has a date been decided for the McClure hike? We are interested in
going but need to know what weekend so we can make plans for other
thngs that we need to do...If anyone knows, please post details.
Thanks,
Gail (Escapades)
Well this should be a lot of fun. I hope we have a big group. Sorry
to hear the Neveda rally (a mass meeting intended to arouse group
enthusiasm) is the same day, preventing some from attending our BBQ.
It is hard to match everyone's schedules.
The Redding event sounds like it will be fun for everyone going.
Hopefully we can have events in the northstate every couple months.
The Sacramento club has events every month. They have been getting
about 80 people each month. We have been to 3 of there events and
they are always a blast talking caching with everyone. I hope we
can keep up the enthusiam up here and have cache events all over the
area.
I was thinking about having an event up in WestWood at Buffalo
Chips. Great Pizza. Most likey in May. Any specific date work
good for people? More like sometime towards the end of the month so
That I could request it off or work the station in WW.

Team Bootie Travelers from Sacto will be there, (Redding) with their "Bells and GPS" on

Hi Dreamseer,
The site seems to be up now...I hadn't tried it earlier so hopefully
it was just a brief problem and has been corrected. Who knows...

I think a cache event in Westwood would be great. The end of May is
kind of busy for some NUTS. There is the Redding cache event on May
23, and some of the area cachers are going camping in the desert the
following weekend. June 12th there is going to be an all day event
in Coloma put on by the RCGDS group, NUTS are welcome. These are
the only conflicting dates I know of. Pick any other date and we
will try to go for sure.
We are planning on being at the Redding event and we also are
planning on the camping trip to Neveda with some of the other
cachers, then there will be no more events for us for about three
months.. we will be camping and mining every weekend for awhile,
still looking for the ever elusive treasure.
How about middle of July? Does that work out for everyone?

An event in July in Westwood would be really good. It would give
some of us valley NUTS a chance to get up to a cooler climate. Do
you recommend any motels in the area if we want to make a weekend of
it?
Sounds good to us. How about a campout near the lake, any good camp spots??? Could we make it earlier than later in the month? We'll be gone the last week of July. Great idea, Rock&Crystal (& Pebble, too)

I see Yar? Yar! is only about 50 behind us, he has 262 and he
started 6 months after us. I'm not sure but I believe out of his
262 finds about 250 are FTF's (LOL)!!!!!!! maybe it just seems that
way. Of course Rock & Crystal have about 250 STF's. Of course as
Jeo says its not a competion...and I can quit anytime. Happy
caching everyone.
