The Northwestern University Progressive Alliance is dedicated to connecting progressive groups on campus through networking student leaders, involved students, and students wanting to become more involved in order to create a place of communication between clubs, a growing membership base, and the overall productivity of every club. The Progressive Alliance includes more than 15 active student groups, ranging from cultural groups to social justice groups. Why? Northwestern is confused and it is not a bad thing. We have as much socially diverse and active individuals, with more diverse interests and involvement as any other university in the country. The unfornuate result is that student activists are spread too thin. Apathy has no room on NU's campus. Attempting to address this, the PA was formed inorder to bring these "strange bedfellows" together encouraging a more networked and productive progressive community on the Northwestern campus.
