This group represents the online community of the "real time" group, the Chicago New Teacher Center (formerly New Teachers Network at the Center for Urban School Improvement at the University of Chicago). CNTC is a high quality induction program serving the Chicago Public Schools. Our beginning teachers participate in a Summer Institute, receive coaching, and meet regulary to support each other's efforts as progressive educators dedicated to best practice teaching methods in their city classrooms and schools, primarily located on Chicago's south side. The Yahoogroup is a way for us to problem-solve and share ideas between meetings and among cohorts.
