Nah, Fork-taileds are occasional visitors up here, see them about half a dozen times per year. Biggest flock I got was possibly over 5,000 birds out towards the plains around Augathella in Western Queensland one summer we were driving through and for about 80 kilometres there were Fork-taileds everywhere.
How have you been? I owe you a phone call, been busy saying good bye to Jabiru and moving to Katherine in a fortnight.

Yesterday afternoon (11/2/12) counted over 120 Fork-tailed Swifts flying in a NNW direction over Jabiru township, very close to dusk, possibly to a nearby roost, some appeared to be circling back and feeding.
Been also getting a few Chanel-billed Cuckoos around town, particularly around where crows roost and possibly nest around the bigger trees in town.
Still many of Zitting Cisticolas (and Golden-headeds) calling over the South Alligator floodplain (Arnhem Highway)
