This is a place where English speaking expats living in the NRW area of Germany, or surrounding areas, can find each other.

We strongly encourage members themselves to be active and suggest simple meet-ups or outings to the group (meeting at a restaurant for dinner, meeting up for coffee or drinks at a pub or coffeehouse, suggesting interesting festivals or local events to attend, concerts, etc.). Through these get togethers, we hope that newcomers to Germany can find support in their areas and everyone has a chance to make new friends. There is no need to host anything, just simple meet-up suggestions would be great.

If you're here simply for online support, you are definitely welcome as well, but hopefully everyone will take advantage of some of the meet-up suggestions from time to time. This kind of face-to-face support is really what we'd like this group to be about.
