Subject: Opportunity for PPLC applicants to impact health care
To: "Caponetti, Emily" <Emily.Caponetti@...>
Hello,
Thank you again for applying to the Planned Parenthood Leadership Committee. I will be sharing a formal agenda with logistical information for the upcoming July 11th training shortly. In the meanwhile, I wanted to personally invite you to an opportunity to attend a phone training on how you can help make women’s health a priority.
As the Obama administration and Congress work to reform our health care system, Planned Parenthood will be the leading voice speaking for countless women and families — and we need you to stand with us! Nobody else is doing more to protect access to reproductive health care and we need to work quickly. Please join us for a very brief phone training on Wednesday, July 1st at 4:00pm to find out how to get involved. Just a half hour of your time can make a big difference. Please, RSVP today!
The fact is, nobody else can speak for the women, men, and teens Planned Parenthood health centers serve quite like we can — and we need lawmakers to listen. We need to make sure that essential health services like birth control, cancer screenings, immunizations, and STD testing and treatments are included in health care reform. We need to strengthen and protect reproductive health care… and we need your help to do it.
What can you do? Become a member of a Rapid Response Team today! As a part of the team, you'll get an inside look at our strategy as health care reform takes shape. Then, at critical times during the coming weeks, Rapid Responders will help us react immediately to breaking news. As the health care reform process quickly moves along, this kind of immediate grassroots mobilization will make the difference! Join us for this week’s training to get involved:
Rapid Response Team Phone Training
Wednesday, July 1, 2009
4:00pm - 4:30pm
RSVP to fappa@... for dial-in information
We will be reviewing health care reform and the Rapid Response Team in more detail during the July 11th training, but the brief phone call this Wednesday will be a quick and easy way for you to get up to speed on what’s happening in DC now to ensure women’s healthcare is a priority.
I hope you can join us for this Wednesday’s call, and don’t hesitate to contact me directly with questions! Looking forward to seeing you all on the 11th!
Best,
Emily
