"NVB" and this site were founded in October, 2000 as a means for providing those who love boating the Potomac and Chesapeake Bay a forum for keeping in touch and knowing what is going on.

What we do is enjoy our time on the water together and meeting new members. Each year we host our "Season Kickoff" at Tim's, the "SwimPlatform Picnic," on the water, a "Dock Crawl" at Hoffmaster's with live entertainment and much more. Cost? Nothing to our members!

We have a core group that is active and encourage new members to come up with ideas for the group to do. NVB is also springs to action when needed on a local level such as when Fairfax County was going to cease funding their marine patrol and we helped keep them on the water.

Remember...the more who are active within the group the more we will all have to do!


SITE NOTE: Great time had at the 2012 Kickoff Gathering! Next up...NVB's 2012 SWIM PLATFORM PICNIC! Date yet to be set but more than likely will be on the same day Tim's hosts their "Not on the 4th Fireworks" which is usually a week before the 4th! Watch for more info coming in the near future!!!
