Northern Virginians for Peace and Justice is a networking group of peace advocates/activists and a clearinghouse of information about peace events and peace projects in Northern Virginia or nearby. Current members live in Arlington, Alexandria, Falls Church, McLean, Reston, Herndon, Burke, Fairfax City, and other towns. They are working on such projects as weekly peace vigils, building interfaith peace coalitions, petitions, leafleting, letter-writing campaigns, outreach, teach-ins and more. If you are interested in joining the peace movement, we can help you find like-minded neighbors with whom you can join your efforts.
We have meetings on the 2nd Tuesday and 4th Thursday of each month, from 7:15 - 9:00 pm, alternating between the Tysons Pimmit and Woodrow Wilson libraries (both located just off Route 7/Leesburg Pike in Fairfax Co).
This Yahoo! Group, loosely called the DISCUSS group, is one of
two related to No. Va. for Peace and Justice. It is open to any discussion related to peace and justice. The only moderation is for wholly unrelated material, such as spam.
Our moderated ANNOUCE forum for Peace related events and projects
in our local area (No. Va., DC, Md.) is us-va-nova-peace. That forum also has peace-related links. Members can add links.
