Welcome spring you northernnippers! I hope you got some great projects done.
Recently I traveled to Anchorage and Palmer for the farm business. While there
I ate breakfast at the SnowCity Cafe where I noticed the coolest backsplash with
real embedding coffee mugs, tile and plates...how inspiring is that?
I make a point to travel to eateries cuz I just love food and I love to see what
the places offer Alaskans. Next to the SnowCity Cafe were 2 art galleries but I
didn't have time to stop in and visit. Dang! Lucky tourists! I have to wait
and get back down in June to see them.
My daughter and family took me to Moose's Tooth where I enjoyed the atmosphere
there. When I visited the ladies' room I noticed their brushed steel - painted
bathroom with a cool tile job depicting rocks and river I believe. (Mind
churning).
Just when I thought noone noticed, I have been approached by several individuals
if I quit making the mosaic artwork...geesh..I did slow down tremendously as I
spent more time under the sewing machine. Back to work.
Endless list of ideas and I've been viewing Laural S.'s work on bottles along
with Sonia King's work. I didn't make a conference but that is my goal once
they get to somewhere that I know someone and don't have to travel too far
out.......well, maybe I'll go anywhere in Jan-March..right? It is Alaska.
