I wonder how many Transylvania engine and cabooses we need to order.
Better yet, how many boxcars with Spookysounds??

This would be almost as big or maybe bigger as the Northbrook event
and is closer to all our homes.

David and Bryon,
I have two industrial Emergency Off pushbuttons to use for this
application. This circuit is more necessary for the traveling
layout since it does not have TMCC controlled transformers. For the
library it would only needed on the Z4000 track as the other tracks
will work with the CAB1 halt button.
Bryon what voltage are the relays you are using, do you have a power
supply for them? If you just leave two wires for the relay coils i
can connectorize them to plug into the boxes I have. The relays
will be permanenly mounted to two of the modules, and the push
buttons will be removeable (probably mounted with C-clamps).
You may contact me through the group or at my email address with
further information or questions.

Hi Bryon. We probably would like two of your controls. One for the traveling
layout and one for the Library. Also, what do you think about our phone numbers
being on the data base of the yahoo group ncog email site? Only members can get
them but you do not have to be a member of NCOG to be a group member.

As discussed during the December meeting, I have created a Train
safety control. This device will cut power to the tracks by taping on
a touch light wired with a RJ45 patch cord, which is in turn wired to
control PCB with 2 DPDT relays. (Stops the trains) with out turning
off the power packs and or using Halt Command. (note: this is my own
design)
All I am waiting for to wire this to the module is the relays. (Due
Jan 14th) minimum of 10 amp contacts I had some 5Amp that I used to
test. 1-complete of Functional device completed & tested.
I hope that we have the ampro parts and cable at the library?
Since I proto-typed the pc boards come in lots of 3 this design
requires 2-safety control per setup.
Since our layout is ring bus based. I need to know if we only intend
to use this on the traveling layout or both. If so then I need to
order another set of pc boards (note: this is my own design)
Providing this works as intended we may be able to sell some of these
to other train clubs .
I have also updated the electrical wiring document with the safety
control.

All NCOG Members Welcome!
There will be a board meeting on thursday January 6, 2005 at aprox
7pm at the Squire Rest. located in Antioch Illinois. Board members
that can not attend please contact David.
The past run at the Fremont Public Library was a great success!! Many
young boys and adults brought their trains to run on the large tracks.
Thank you to all club members who helped decorate the layout and
helped on Sunday!! Dg
Thank to all who particapated at the Fremont Public Library last Sat.
as it was a great success!! I estimate at least 50 people came to see
the layout. Two young boys brought their trains to run on the Big
Track. One of the engines we are in the process of repairing. The
boy said it has not run in at least 25 years.
I am thinking about having a work night this thursday Dec. 16,2004
from 7 to 9 ( FPL ). I will let everyone know if this will happen or
not. The FPL layout still needs to be dressed up for the winter
scene. All members please help. All members are encourage to view
the 2 glass cases behind the reference desk, as we are decorating
them. dg

The December NCOG newsletter arrived by mail today (in good shape
too) even though I had received it earlier in the week by e mail.
Either way, it certainly is colorful and informative.

Full Speed ahead corners what corners, As I recall, I agreed to sew
the table skirt for the traveling lay out. But have not heard any
more details. Material and specs for yada yada. Let me know so maybe
I can pick up the stuff on Saturday at the library?
Also I still have a copy of the original electrical setup (My self
and little John documented the setup for the NCOG layout, never did
update the document to include running trains. About time for an
update i'm sure there have been more changes.

We are looking to have a video kiosk particularly for younger
