The Sonoma County Pagan Network welcomes Gus diZerega, a Gardnerian Elder with
25 years practice, including six years close study with a Brazilian shaman. He
has been selected as the first Pagan blogger on Beliefnet:

This topic is of growing interest in our community in having a formal clergy and
seminaries. These institutions and practices are rooted in the Christian
tradition. They are based on very different models of spirituality and our
relation to it. We know from the past that religions such as Christianity and
Islam have been powerfully impacted by the cultures where they rose - and often
not for the better. (For example, status of women.)
How might we try and minimize the risk?
