This is the online home for the Houston, Texas chapter of No Kidding!, a social group for adults (couples or singles) who have never parented. We welcome childless and childfree adults in the Houston area to participate in our group, regardless of race, creed, sexual orientation or marital status. Parents can not be members of No Kidding!. A "childed" adult can attend NK! events if accompanied by a No Kidding! member.

We are an all-volunteer, not-for-profit, member-run group. There are no dues or fees for membership. The chapter leader may occasionally "pass the hat" at an event to help cover expenses, such as the annual fee to NK! Chapter One.

The group holds at least 2 social activities per month in and around the Houston area. Past events have included restaurant lunches & dinners, house parties, game nights, winery tours, movie nights, bowling, attending outdoor festivals and concerts. We are always open to new event ideas: any member is welcome to host an event, no matter how new they are.

Being childfree is not an easy decision for some and is a painful reality for others. Personal attacks, abusive or intolerant language will not be permitted.

This group is currently set to require approval before joining so that we can ensure that this will be a spam-free, troll-free site.

Because we are an active social and activity group, we expect participation from our members. Therefore, please do not choose the "no email" option, or you will be removed from the group. If you want the event info without the chit-chat, please select "special notices".
