FYI, from the San Jose Silicon Valley Business Journal at http://sanjose.bizjournals.com/sanjose/stories/2008/08/25/focus1.html?b=1219636800^1688611:

 

“[T]he 44,000-square-foot Whole Foods was to open this year at the corner of The Alameda and Stockton Avenue, but a change in company leadership has led to a redesign of the store […] The new store will encompass 34,000 square feet and probably will not open until 2010.”

 

At least the store is still planned to open. I read in another article that Whole Foods is cancelling plans to open many stores.
