NM-General serves two purposes.

One: it's a place where New Mexicans can gather for informal discussions on any topic they choose.

Two: it's a place where anyone, non-New Mexicans too, can discuss topics that relate to New Mexico.

NM-General is a free speech zone with only two exceptions. One: Any posts that show blatant disrespect for another member will be removed and the member who posted the disrespectful message will be put on moderation. Two: Occasional swearing, in context, is tolerated. Blatant and repeated swearing will be treated the same as disrespectful messages. This should be a place where parents can feel comfortable letting their kids play.

Everyone has an opinion and those opinions often differ. Respect your fellow members.

All posts from new members will be moderated. This is to prevent spam on the list. Once a member has posted a legitimate message, their settings will be changed to unrestricted posting. If your message doesn't show up right away, please be patient. It may take a few hours for a moderator to respond. So be sure to post a "Hello" when you join so your membership will get fully enabled as soon as possible!
