Nichiren Daishonin was born on 16 February 1222, into a fishing family in the village of Kominato, in the region of Awa (presently in the Chiba prefecture). Awa Province was bordered by Kazusa Province. It lies on the tip of the Boso Peninsula.

Kazusa (-no kuni) was an old province in the area of the Boso Peninsula of Honshu that is today a part of Chiba prefecture. Kazusa bordered on Awa and Shimo-Usa Provinces.

1260 Flees Kamakura to the residence of Toki Jonin in Shimousa remains until March....Shimosa ( -no kuni) was an old province of Japan in the area that is today Chiba Prefecture. Shimosa bordered on Hitachi, Kazusa, Kozuke, Musashi and Shimotsuke provinces.

Departs in 1239 .... 1242 Returns to Seichoji Temple, composes The Principle of the Entity of Buddhist Precepts Is Equivalent to Attaining Buddha-hood & Departs ...1253 Returns to Kominato, 04/28 Proclamation of Odaimoku at Asahiga-mori, Mt. Kiyosumi Seichoji. Exiled by Tojo Kagenobu. .. 1260 Flees Kamakura to the residence of Toki Jonin in Shimousa remains until March....September 1264 Returns to Kominato & remains in Boso Hanto until January of 1268.
