This group is for parents of students at the National Guard Youth Challenge Academy; it is not affiliated, controlled by, or in any way officially connected to the National Guard Youth Challenge Program itself. Feel free to discuss your kids, concerns, fears, and get answers that might be hard to obtain elsewhere.

"We are here for you as parents and loved ones of Youth Challenge Students. We recognize that hardships and turmoil are not limited to those inside the program itself; our group is here to support those who support the students, who very often have their own battles to fight. We want you to succeed. We will not let you quit, we will not let you make excuses for sub-standard performance, we will be proud of you when you make it"

The following two simple rules should help keep this a pleasant place to hang out. Anyone who cannot abide by these rules faces possible moderation (having your messages reviewed and approved before being posted to the forum) or removal from the group.

1) We only allow members with a legitimate interest in the Youth Challenge Academy, primarily to block SPAM, but also to protect our families and cadets. Alumni are welcome as well as you may be able to answer some of our questions. Staff are allowed as well, HOWEVER it has been brought to our attention that according to Youth Challenge policy they are not allowed to post, so please do not ask them to.

2) Anyone who repeatedly flames, threatens, or is otherwise offensive will be removed by the moderator.

Unless there is a reason to create more, those are the only two rules that really apply to this board. Feel free to browse our messages and photo/file archives, and add your name to the database.
