The North Georgia Writing Center Consortium is a community of writing center administrators and tutors at institutions of higher education in North Georgia. The NGWCC was formed in 2004 for the purpose of sharing information, practices, speakers, and resources, and to enable participants to collaborate on research, publication, and grant/funding projects.

NGWCC meets once each semester at a volunteer host institution, and maintains regular contact through this newsgroup. There is no formal leadership structure; instead, administrative management rotates to the host of each semester's meeting for the semester of that meeting. There are no dues or fees.

NGWCC membership is intended as a supplement to membership in the IWCA or the SWCA; where possible, the NGWCC will hold additional meetings at IWCA and/or SWCA conferences.

Institutions interested in membership are encouraged to email details of their writing center with their request to be added to the newsgroup email list.
