Description
Welcome to the group. It was formed 27 May 2005. Since then Dick has built a second Nexus Mustang which has now been inspected (June 26 2008) and the first flight will happen as soon as the permit arrives by post. It has a 3 blade MT propeller, a 20 lbs lighter aluminum undercarriage and metal wheel pants. Dick aims to be at Oshkosh 08 with #2 after flying off the 25 hours during July.

Performance with fixed pitch Cruise propeller and a Harry Riblett "GA Airfoil"
At 3,000` this combination at full throttle gives 240 Miles per hr.True Air Speed
75% Power approx 2650 RPM. 22 " manifold pressure is 210 MilesTrue.10.5 Gal.PH
70% Power approx 2600 RPM. 21.5 manifold pressure is 200 MilesTrue.9.5 Gal.PH
At 7500 ` Full throttle 2840 RPM. ( 75% power ) 215 -220 Miles per hr..
Take off solo with full fuel 800-900 ` Gross 1100-1200 ` depending on temperature altitude etc. Landing distance is about 1200` Touch down three point 70 MPH half flap.

Parts Availability
Does anyone know if Dick Eaves is still selling parts such as the cowl and wing tips? I just got done building the engine mount....then I read in an old forum
