The goal of Newport Michigan USA Freecycle(TM) is to reduce waste by connecting individuals who are getting rid of items with others who are seeking them. Whether you're looking to discard or acquire an item, Newport Freecycle(TM) is the place to do it. Furniture, clothing, appliances, computers, and all the little things in between - and all items must be FREE.

Once you’ve subscribed, a welcome message will be sent to you via email. Please take a moment to read through this message prior to participating. There are some basic guidelines included in the message that will help keep the group in good working order. And while the group list is not monitored, the Group Moderator will monitor the postings, and anyone participating in SPAM will be immediately banned from the group.

Information About Posting Because I believe we have to have a flow of items to make this work, I suggest that in your first month as a new member you ought to try to post an OFFER of something you don't want anymore, and that WANTED postings will be limited to two per month. If you don't get a response the first month, you can always post again the next, as new members are joining all the time.

SOME TIPS
In the subject line of your e-mail to the group, please use the following examples for offering or requesting goods:
OFFER: item name (city location)
TAKEN: old couch(use when someone wants it and hasn't picked it up yet)
WANTED: item name (city location) (distance willing to travel)[Please use this one sparingly]
RECEIVED: item name
ADMIN: For Moderator use only
**Replace anything in ( ) with your item, location or travel distance**
