New Century
Players auditions for
THE LARAMIE
PROJECT
By Moises Kaufman and the members of the
Tectonic Theater Project
A
breathtaking theatrical collage that explores the depths to which humanity can
sink and the heights of compassion of which we are capable. Directed by Kevin
Yell.
Auditions
Date: July
27 and 28, 2009
Time: 7 to 9
PM
Place: Rex Putnam High School
4950 SE Roethe Rd
Milwaukie,
OR 97267
Performances:
October 17-25, 2009
Thurs.-Sat nights at
7:30 PM
Sunday matinees at 2 PM
with the option to extend the run by
an extra weekend.
There is
also the assumption that we'll be doing The Epilogue on October 12 as a 10th
Anniversary major event, so full availability for rehearsals, and certainly
October 9 – 12, is essential.
Audition
materials should include two very short (maximum 1 minute each) contemporary
monologues by contrasting characters. Not looking for
"slapstick" or "dramatic" moments - real people and real
emotions are to be preferred. These pieces do not have to be from
published materials.
A resume and
headshot is nice, but not required.
A stipend for
adult actors is possible, dependent on the budget.
