The New Almaden Quicksilver County Park Association is based in New Almaden, CA. This community in Santa Clara County, on the list of heritage places, is at the foot of the park under the direction of the Santa Clara County Parks Department. It includes the Casa Grande, a two story home built in 1854 for the use of the general managers of the quicksilver mines. Today it houses the park headquarters staff and an excellent museum that focuses on the mine and the community that lived in the area during the mining era. This mine was the richest mine in California, far surpassing any gold mine in wealth. Museum hours are 10:00 to 4:00 PM, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
This list is used to distribute news about activities in the Casa Grande Museum and in the Quicksilver County Park.
