IT'S A NEW CENTURY AND A NEW CHANCE TO MAKE DEMOCRACY WORK FOR PEOPLE. Come on along. Get active. New Century Ohioans exists to help you find out what opportunities there are to get involved online and on-the-ground in Ohio and elsewhere.

Get the heads-up from a variety of U.S., Ohio and city-based progressive groups in Northeast Ohio and Central Ohio. Some you likely know, like the ACLU; others you may not know, like Ohio PIRG or Progress Ohio or America Votes' Central Ohio and Northeast Ohio offices.

TAKE ACTION ON THE ISSUES THAT BURN YOU UP, from global warming to the war, to health care for Ohioans, to the godawful media system and many other issues. Help with voter education during election times, take part in demonstrations, sign online petitions, speak your mind to your representatives or to media fat cats--the possibilities are endless. Find out who's doing what in our neighborhoods, our state, our country--all over the world---and how you can take part in it.

It's a cliche, but say it anyway: This is what democracy looks like.
