We hold to the view that Jesus instructed His disciples to model servant leadership through an attitude of humility and service. We reject the modern hierarchal model of church, which creates division within the Lord's body. We don't believe in official titles or positions that create a clergy/laity division within the Body of Christ.

This community is a place where unorthodox views are shared and discussed. Mutual respect is vital to the life of this community. Flaming will not be permitted.

The Rules:

1. No hierarchal leadership views will be promoted here.

2. The moderators believe that men and women share equally in the priesthood of believers. The article, The Role of Women in the Church, explains our views on this subject. No discussion will be permitted that alienates women.

3. Spamming the list will not be permitted. Do not forward any jokes, cute stories, or sermons to the list. Let's try to keep it relational and personal. Those types of things detract from that.

4. If you are "in the ministry" or are a member of the "clergy" you are welcome here. However, please don't come with the intention of straightening us all out and returning us to the institution. We are liberated sheep and we're staying that way!
