Our mission: To make walking and bicycling a part of daily life in western Nevada County.

Our purpose: To improve the health and happiness of our community by increasing the level of physical activity in our daily lives, reconnect people to their neighborhoods, community, and environment, increase transportation connections between communities and reduce our adverse impact on our natural resources and environment.

Our objectives: To increase walking and bicycling through advocacy and education, make walking and bicycling safer through education and infrastructure improvements, increase the number of children that walk and bicycle by incorporating this activity into their daily routine, provide access to bicycles for those who do not have them, help local governments incorporate walking and bicycling in all transportation and land use decisions, advocate creation of sidewalks, pathways, and bikeways, promote ongoing improvements and routine maintenance of facilities and infrastructure used by pedestrians and bicyclists, and advocate walking and bicycling links to public transit.
