Dear Laxmi JI
(1) Once upon a time, Lumle Agricultural Centre (1989/90) has done some work on Utis: growth, coverage, vol, leaf litter production, mortality etc - may be some of Lumle OLDIES know about it.
(2) I believe that you may get plenty of information about mashala (camandulensis) from Sagaranath Forest Development Project, Ministry of Forestry- see project manuals written by Mr. White. It will be worthwhile to contact Sagaranath OLDIES.
Good luck

Subject: [Foresters] Seeking information on eucalyptus and Alnus
Dear members,
I am involved in a research on value chain development of two species,
Alnus nepalensis, and Eucalyptus species (mostly camandulensis)
Nepal.
I would highly appreciate if you could share the information and data
available (forest cover, change patters, enabling environment,
products, market and marketing channels, value addition, stakeholders
involved etc) on these two species. This will greatly help me for the
assignment that I am committed for.
I would also appreciate if someone can refer the reading materials on
these species, particularly related to market and marketing issues,
production, and products.
I thank you very much for all of your support and response, in advance.
with kind regards,
Laxmi
