The Northeast Peace and Justice Action Coalition (NEPAJAC) was founded at
the Northeast Peace and Justice Action Conference on Saturday, June 4, 2005
in Albany, NY. The Coalition is an attempt to better network and coordinate
programs and actions among Peace and Justice groups in the area of Eastern
New York, Western Massachusetts, Western Connecticut and Vermont.

Our priority is to work in closer coordination among Capital District
groups. This will enable NEPAJAC to better collaborate among other centers
of progressive activity in the region in:

planning follow-up events to our annual NEPAJAC Conference;
coordinating major public actions, and
scheduling major speakers from outside the region.

In the Capital Region it will minimize scheduling conflicts among events
planned by our separate P&J groups.

We hope your Peace and Justice organization will join this effort by sending
one or more delegates to NEPAJAC’s next coordinating meeting, currently planned for Monday, June 30, 2008 at the Albany Public Library, 162 Washington Avenue, Albany, NY (518-434-4037) from 6:30 to 8:30pm.
