Per the meeting on Sunday, I have uploaded an article, "Young Adult
Catholics and the Church." I read it and it seemed fairly general. At
the same time it described some basic observations about young adult
catholics which might be interesting to discuss.

If you read the article and feel inspired to jot down discussion
topics - add them to the list! I have uploaded the word document into
a folder called discussion topics under files. Now anyone can add to it.

Discussion Group.  The topic will be "Our Church and Our Faith", and
will include an introduction to the Marist philosophy by Father Rene.
Refreshements will be served.

February 10th: Join us at Johnny Foley's (234 O'Farrell at Powell) for
the year's first installment of SF Young Adult Ministry's "Theology on
Tap" series, an entertaining approach to spirits and spirituality.

Hey everyone.

Hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving holiday, complete with extra pounds in turkey. I just wanted to give you an update on last night's meeting.

First off, welcome to new members Oriana and James (I assume your last name is MacGregor...makes sense right?) to our little club. 

Let's see here...sorry folks, trying to translate Fr. Rene's handwriting....ah, here we go, for Dec 15th, our next meeting (after the 6PM as always), Mary Hansen is coming to give us a talk about what is going on in the faith community here in SF. It's probably going to be a big help to us so mark that down!

Also, we threw around some ideas about what else we can do as a group. Some ideas that came up are:

1)  questions about faith or similar topics

2) do we want to continue to facilitate one Mass a month

3) would we want to have a social of some type, maybe between just us or with groups from neighboring parishes

4) do we want to do community outreach at all?

5) Finally what do we think about our liturgy and pasta dinner last month?

Well, that's last night in a nutshell. Bring in any ideas you might have for next meeting. See you all soon!

PS: Don't forget about the scripture study every Wednesday during Advent, from 7:30 till 8:30 PM. I believe it starts this week, I could be wrong. Ask Fr. Rene to be sure.

Hi all,
       Yes,,Maureen kept the notes on the last meeting.She
will be in touch with jonathan and John.Our next meeting
after the pasta social will be Dec.1st, after the 6:oo PM
mass. We can evaluate the November 17th getogether and be
in touch. Also,Kammy, I can go over the readings with you
at 8:ooPM on Wed. the 13th or  7:30 PM the 14th-Thursday.
Let me know which you prefer. Omar will be putting the
fliers into the bulletins this Friday after 4:00 PM.Regina
and Piya  putting together the music for the mass.Jonathan,
sorry to hear about your accident and am very glad you are
on the road to recovery.Any GoNovember 17th event--Maureen
has the notes which reflect the decisions made at the
meeting.

Hi,

I, too, was unable to attend last weeks meeting.  Maybe somebody could send out
any important info to this list?  This should probably be done after every
meeting.

I also want to apologize for not being around.  Work has been keeping me very
busy and I will actually be out of town on business for the next four weekends,
at least.  It looks as if I will not be able to be as involved with this group
as I had hoped.  Please just keep me informed of what is happening in the hopes
that I will be able to make one of the events/meetings.

Tuesday/Wednesday at 7:30pm.

Just to share with you all, last Saturday while we
were bicycling down Mount Diablo, Jonathan had a bike
accident resulting in quite a few stitches on his chin
(6 internal and 27 external) as well as several
smaller abrasions. He is doing really well - I think
the pain killers are helping in that matter. He can
walk around and stuff and the stitches will be removed
in a few days. In fact, tonight we go out of town
until Sunday evening. So we should be back in action
in time for the next meeting.
