MISSION STATEMENT for NCCP:

To raise awareness about the harmful effects of global warming and to encourage the Northampton, Mass. community and City government to adopt measures that:

· Promote energy efficiency and conservation;

· Reduce transportation emissions;

· Foster careful community planning and sustainable development

· Further economic prosperity and a high quality of life


By so doing we will help the City fulfill its commitment to the International Cities for Climate Protection Program.
