Just posted a greatly expanded version of the NAF Tunings Map. It has a large
section at the bottom of tunings that are "potential"
- meaning that I found the scale in the Scala software database and like it, but
have never seen a flute with the scale.
Some of these potential scales are historic (like the 15th Century Nohkan
Japanese flute tuning, near the bottom of the page). Some
are intriguing, like the Ute Tritonic, but I have no reference for them other
than their listing in Scala.
I realize that this page has been useful to makers, and I hope I haven't mucked
it up with clutter ... feedback is welcome:
