We are a central Texas group that grew out of relationships developed at the back of a farmer’s truck. We are families inspired by the nutritional principles discovered by Weston Price and using the recipes found in Nourishing Traditions, by Sally Fallon. We enjoy potluck socials together and hope that more community outreach will result from us having fun together and brainstorming. Some of us have overcome serious health challenges because of our practice of these principles and others are just getting better than ever! We would love to share what we are learning with other families who are looking for good health and good community.

Some of the goals of our community are:

* Build community, both in cyberspace and in real life.

* Share information, time, and energy because we care about the people in our community.

* Join together as consumers to purchase healthy products at better prices through bulk purchases. Group members organize bulk orders as a community service, not to make a profit.

* Encourage and support local farmers and food producers who take the time, effort, and expense to learn environmentally and nutritionally sustainable methods for raising crops and livestock. By purchasing directly from these farmers whenever possible we minimize the role of the middleman. This allows us to reconnect with the source of our foods, ensures that the farmer can make a fair profit, and allows us to purchase products at a reasonable price. * Provide information on farming and healing methods when possible, so everyone can make informed choices.

* Provide databases of primary sources of food, medical, craft-ware, soaps etc. and local distributors where WAP-related goods can be purchased.

As a group we will evolve and grow organically as we explore new and old ways of connecting with our sources of food and our health and healing.
