The N_Tutorial list is for the absolute beginner in N-Scale model railroading. That means that no question asked here is ever stupid!!

Initially this list was dedicated to people building the 3' x 5' beginners layout, described in detail on:

In time some of the list members developed more advanced versions, like Geof Dagley's Advanced Tutorial Layout. See also Geof's directory on this layout in the files section.

Of course, there are many ways for a beginner to go in N-Scale, the introduction of Kato Unitrack has motivated many modelers to follow this route.

So beginners and advanced modelers are all welcome to join this list and help each other enjoy this hobby to the max!
