Description

Started in April, 1995, this is the internet's largest, email list dedicated to N Scale model railroading. It's a general information list so all topics (DCC, decals, trackwork, benchwork, painting, airbrushing, kitbashing, scratchbuilding, protoype operations, detailing, etc.) are welcome. With over 60,000 messages in the archives, chances are good a question has been answered before. Please search the message archives before posting your question.

The rules for posting are very simple:

1) The message has to be related to N Scale model railroading.

2) New product announcements, for trade/wanted ads and event announcements are allowed at any time.

3) Advertising/for-sale days are the 1st and the 15th of every month. It would be nice if we all remembered to prefix the subject of a "for sale" message with the letters "FS" to make sorting easier. :)

If you are new to the hobby, an excellent introductory book is available. If you have a website, it would be appreciated if you helped promote this resource. Webmaster's tools can be found at this URL. There is also an N Scale web ring with a hub page.

Thanks for reading this and we hope you enjoy the list!

Re: code 55/80
... Same solution I've done here: a Kato double track truss (code 80) TO ME code 55 flex: replace the bridge track with two pieces of ME 55 "Bridge" flex. Enzo

Re: code 55/80
Most take a rail joiner, attach it to the code 80, and then smash (crimp) the remainder to form a base to set the code 55 on. Solder both together and you
