People, I was right in the middle of this and discussed this with the parties
involved first hand. The following was acknowledged by both sides.
Marion did offer Jean a special dedication and also $500. Jean refused this,
saying that she wanted a byline for the novel. Jean also became convinced
(erroneously) that Marion intended to plagerize from her fan-written work about
Danvan Hastur. Her actions made me positively sick. Jean was my good friend, but
no more after what she did here and the unfounded accusations she made about
Marion.
