Mystique Intentional Community at Kootenay Lodge & Farm north of Nelson, BC has 21 acres of spectacular rural land encompassing field, forest and beach on Kootenay Lake. We have two creeks running through the property, two wells and an orchard with hundreds of fruit trees. There is a large lodge with four bedrooms, three duplex cabins that generate income through summer tourist rentals and accommodate community visitors and members, a chicken barn and a large cattle barn that is being renovated to include a woodshop and a workshop/performance space and apartment. Our vision includes the farm becoming a healing retreat for cleansing, raw food diet and health education. We seek to expand our use of alternative energy and building, especially in the creation of a larger greenhouse that is heated by alternative means, to pursue permaculture techniques and to become organically certified.
The community is looking for new members with the resources and willingness to come and help our community to expand. We aim to live simply and are willing to do the work necessary to grow the very best food possible, pursue excellence in health, teach our children values and magic and never halt our personal growth. We are committed to giving back to the Earth and creating a community that gathers to celebrate the experiences of life throughout the seasons. We encourage individuality and diversity in our members, asking only for the courage to positively transform ourselves and the world.

This group is for potential members of Mystique Community and/or those with community living experience who are interested in guiding us and sharing their wisdom. It is not a place for name calling and harsh judgements.
