Announcing the Mystic Ice Shawl knitalong!

This shawl draws its inspiration from winter, and in particular the breathtaking icicles found during the early and late parts of winter.
The shawl can be knit as a square shawl or a triangular shawl (or why not one of each?).

My shawl is knit on 3.25 mm needles, using 10/2 Tencel (laceweight) yarn from Yarntopia Treasures (1,050 yds per 4 oz skein) in the New York colourway. The square shawl uses 2 skeins (approx. 2,100 yds) of the Tencel yarn, and the triangular shawl uses 1 skein (approx 1,050 yds). The 10/2 Tencel is available on Etsy and on eBay.
As always, yarn substitutions are encouraged.

The pattern will be made available for a knitalong, starting November 17.
It will be distributed to the members in six consecutive pieces, once a week on Mondays.
The last part of the pattern will be released on December 22.
