This group is intended for family and friends of Marine Corps Recruits who are, or soon will be, at the Marine Corps Recruit Depots at Parris Island or San Diego. Your fears and concerns are real and your questions will be answered by people just like you who have taken a ride on the 13-week roller coaster that is Boot Camp.
We are a support group just for you. We are independent of the USMC but both recruiting and boot camp officials look in on us to find out what the concerns are out there and from time to time they will write in with the “official” point of view. Nothing you say here can have any impact on your recruit so it is safe to ask those questions you wouldn’t ask a recruiter. You will find our answers prompt, direct and to the point.
All we ask is that you stay on topic. Our topic is Marine Boot Camp. There are a lot of groups out there for after boot camp but we would like you to stick around here for a while to be the resident expert. Politics and religion will not be tolerated.
After you write today’s letter to your Recruit, write us a question.
