Discussion group for users of the Military Intercom families: AM-1780 VIC-1 Combat Vehicle intercom, Clansman, Larkspur, and counterparts.
Topics involving the use of PRC/VRC type radios with the VIC-1 type intercoms are encouraged, but should not replace existing groups like milpack and armyradios for radio only topics.
Discussion about interfacing the VIC-1 to non-military radios like amateur, Broadcast Stereo, and Family Radio Service is also encouraged! |
Combat Intercoms
The VIC-1 is currently in many types of military vehicles, far beyond it's original use in the US military. Accordingly, owners of international as well as US vehicles are welcome to participate. (Two that come to mind are Pinzgauers and Ferret armored cars)
Clansman Larkspur systems are also in wide use in some areas. While more information appears to be available on the VIC-1, topics and contributions on other systems are welcome!
Participation is not limited to either military or civilian members, and both are encouraged to contribute.
