Hi Boyce, my airplane has an 150hp O320 with a cruise wood prop. I used the 6 inch tail wheel at 2.75lbs and recently switched to a 5 inch wheel at 1.35lbs....

I've run both a wood prop and a metal prop of the same diameter and pitch on an 85hp J-3. The metal prop is 10mph faster and climbs and accelerates better....
