Al Qur'an

69.
It is the wish of
a section of the People of the Book
to lead you astray.
But they shall lead astray (Not you),
but themselves, and they do not perceive!

70.
Ye People of the Book!
Why reject ye the Signs of Allah,
of which ye are (Yourselves) witnesses?

{Surah Aale Imran ~
Ayah 69-70}

Hadith

Narrated 'Aisha  (the mother of the faithful believers)
(may Allah be pleased with her):

Al-Harith bin Hisham asked Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him)

"O Allah's Apostle!
How is the Divine Inspiration revealed to you?"


Allah's Apostle (peace be upon him) replied,

"Sometimes it is (revealed)
like the ringing of a bell,
this form of Inspiration is the hardest of all
and then this state passes ' off
after I have grasped what is inspired.

Sometimes the angel comes in the form of a man
and talks to me and I grasp whatever he says."


'Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) added:

Verily I saw the Prophet (peace be upon him)
being inspired Divinely on a very cold day
and noticed the sweat dropping from his forehead
(as the Inspiration was over).
