This group started as a forum for Musicans and Artists. All creative individuals are welcome. The point is to discuss politics and also the role of the artist in today's political climate. This list is for dialogue. We welcome a wide range of thoughtful opinion, backed up where necessary with credible evidence. We aim to educate each other and explore issues without resorting to boxing. The purpose is dialogue, not convincing others. You don't have to be an egghead but you do have to be both a respectful and respectable conversant and human being. There are real issues facing thinking humans. We are not being handed the answers. We are here to find them.

This list allows you to hide your email address, but New members may not hide their email addresses and are required to provide moderator with a REAL email address or they will not be approved to join the list.

RULES:
1. Passion is great; lack of manners is not. It is cause for removal.
2. No name calling or flaming other list members either on list or off list. Doing so is cause for removal.
3. No phony people with bogus email addresses allowed. If you're too chicken to not be truthful about who you are, you will be removed.

6. No riling up members for the sake of riling. Debate must be informed. Material must be provided to back up a position.
7. You must introduce yourself when you join. Include where you live, your relationship to "the arts" and how you ended up here.
8. New members will be on moderated status until moderator and list members deem that new members are following the above 6 rules.
9. Members can be banned or moderated at our discretion
