This list discusses the Multi-Use Radio Service (MURS),
a new, unlicensed VHF-FM Citizens Band Radio Service
operating on five frequencies in the 150 MHz band. This
service became available on November 13, 2000.
Permissible equipment includes certain VHF-FM (formerly
"business band") radios widely available at or through
consumer electronics outlets (including for sale through
the Web). Discussions on this list may include only the
LEGAL uses and operations in this radio service.
Participants are expected to conduct themselves civily
and to employ only family-acceptable language.
