You are right, Setara: Bengali Hindus and Muslims are
of the same ethnic stock - it was 'religious
cleansing. Be that as it may, Hindus did not all come
in1947, and not all for mere better opportunities. I
have seen the destitute refugees in Sealdah station in
the 1960s. They had lost everything when they came.
I do not know where the fault lies: Pakistania,
Bengali Muslims or a handful of miscreants. But it
did happen, one of the less known chapters oh human
history.
