I would like to comment, but there is really nothing more I can say
on this matter. Ms. Huq has expressed beautifully what needs to be
expressed every hour of every day. Too often we forget that we are
all human first, and share this one planet. We should try and shed
our cultural and societal biases and just accept each other.
Melodramatic and sappy as this may sound, language is but an
expression of one's feelings and desires and hopes. Different words
mean different things to different people. No one group or person has
ownership of any word.

To fascists, "jihad" means struggle against freedom, to my beloved
parents,"jihad" means life's struggle, and to me "jihad" means trying
to do the best I can in this world, to uplift myself and my fellow
human beings.
