We love our country very much. When Far Eastern Economic Review portrayed our country as a potential seat of terrorism and warned the international community "Beware of Bangladesh" we get annoyed. We say it is exaggeration and try to defend us 'My country Right or wrong'. But we do not feel ashamed when Mahimas are raped in the very presence of their parents, Muhuris are killed by their students, Dasaraths are brutally manhandled by their erstwhile taleb-elems, Sadhus are killed in their temples, police beat and tortured, even killed accuseds during remand violating all norm of human rights, Hoonjurs uttering fotwaz and abusing our womenfolk and the prescribing punishment of 100 dorrahs. No sir, these are not sporadic and isolated events. These are happening almost every day in our society. Here is yet another story of minor child being raped by a gang of hooligans, allegedly belonging to yuvodal cadres. No i will not defend my country against the writing of FEER so long a single girl's honour is violated by our political mastans.

After the sensational episode of Mahima, this time a group of Yubodal cadres raped a 7-year child at Rajsahi on 21^st March night. The unfortunate child is a daughter of an AL worker, Rajab Ali. This time place of occurrence is a remote village called 'Konda' under Baghmara upazila in the district of Rajshahi. It is alleged that the a group of Yubodal cadres raped the minor girl in front oh her parents, and this they did in order to take revenge against the father of the poor girl. Fault of the father is that he is an AL activist. After raping the child was profusely bleeding; the miscreants got panicked and fled away. In the next morning the miscreants took the girl to village-doctors and different clinics and finally to Rajsahi Medical college hospital for her treatment secretly for the last ten days. But when condition of the child deteriorated, they simply fled away.

Father of the child filed a case of raping against 4 Yubodal cadres on 31st March. The alleged accused are: Ashraful, Rahim, Israfil and Mooke. The culprits threatened the AL worker, father of the child on 4^th April again to withdraw the case. In order to escape from their pressure he fled to Rajsahi town for safety. The unfortunate child is now at the Rajsahi medical college hospital for treatment.

It is learnt from Sangbad report (5^th April) that Yubodal leader Asraful with his associates attacked the home of AL worker Rajab Ali on 21^st March night. Ashraful after breaking the door of the house forcibly raped the 7-year old daughter of Rajab Ali in front of the parents. Sangbad's caption on the front page reads as follows:

The child became very sick. Next morning the gangsters took the child to a village doctor in a critical condition. They also threatened the parents not to disclose the event to any one. As the situation was getting worse, they took the child to Rajsahi town and treated her at different clinics. As condition of the child was not improving, they admitted her to Rajsahi medical college hospital and left the premises never to return.
